Hi,
last weekend I got my first wolrd cup medal. During a nice world cup weekend i performed well during Heats and semifinal! In the final I did a good job and finished 3rd in the end. The first two places went to Peter Kauzer and Jure Meglic both are from Slovenija.
The next race for me is the world cup in Markkleeberg next weekend!

sorry for the late report. But I had a lot of stuff to do, for uni and a lot of daily training, in the last 3 weeks after our selections.
So lets talk about my results at the selections. Overall I finshed 3rd, that means I am qualified for the worlds, the euros and the world cups in 2011. Futhermore I will race at the pre olympics in London, which will be one of the highlights in this season.
Just to inform you, we had 3 selection races in Markkleeberg. In the first race I finished 5th, because I hade some trouble in the bottom part of the course and touched 2 gates. The setting of the gates in the second race was much more difficult, but not a big Problem for myself ;-) I won the race. The 3rd race wasn’t so succsesfull for me, I finsihed 7th, because of a big mistake at the last stopper.

last weekend I raced at the first big european slalom race in 2011. It was hold in Markkleeberg in Germany, in the k1 men I had 130 competitors, but it didn’t matter. I did a really good job at the saturdays race, I won by 2 sec. In second and third were Grimm(GER) and Prindis (CZ). On the sundays race I finished 3rd. Overall I am realy satisfied with this results and also with my runs. Now I am prepearing for the german selection in 3 weeks.

Hey Guys,
I am back from Athens since yesterday. I had a really good training on the olympic venue from 2004, with a lot of withewater sessions together with my team mates (fabian dörfler, alex grimm, hannes aigner, paul böckelmann). It is a course with really nice drops and waves. And by the way it is great to paddle the course just with hands, it was possible to do most of the upstreamgates and it was awesome to surf in the big waves :-))

I am in Australia for 3 weeks now and I will stay one more week here in Penrith. The slalom course is really nice for training. It is the olympic venue from 2000 where teh German Thomas Schmidt took the Goldmedal, so it is a special place for me to do my training. Cause I remember watching his run when I was 12 years old.
I did a lot of hard sessions till now. It is really great to to do my work out in the summer of australia. At the end of this week the australian open will be host in Sydney, I am looking forward to the first big international competition of the year.

here is a short report about my 2010 season, which was the first with the new duem stuff gear.
So after missing the senior team at the selections in may i was disapointed. Later during the world cups my shap was going better and better, in augsburg i finshid 7th, my best world cup result right now. After that prepeared for the U23 Euros which took place in Leipzig. I was really motivated to do a good race at that weekend. It was really great to race in front of the croud. And to win in front of the german croud was a special feeling for me.
The weeks after that i finshid 2nd in the team race at the euros in bratislava and 3rd at the pre worlds in Bratislava, too.
Next big highlight for me was the dolomitenman in Lienz (austria). It is the hardest team race world, I fnished on the 5th place with my team, which was a really great result! check it out www.dolomitenmann.com
2 weeks ago i was racing at the last german nationals, i finshed 2nd and 1st at the overall german ranking same as last year.
One week to go, than I will start the winter training for the 2011 pre olympic season!
Yesterday was the last day of the first world cup 2010. I was a bit disapointed about my result in the end. After the qualification on friday i was on 14th place but in the semifinal on Sunday it was just the 31st place, because of big mistake at gate 12, I lost 7seconds and that was the time I was to slow to be in the final. Now I’m looking forward to the 2nd world cup in Spain on next Saturday.

At the moment I’m training in Betlehem in South Afrika with the national team of Germany. We are now in Betlehem since 10 days. The Training is hard, ’cause the slalom courses are on a high of 1700m. For training we have 2 nature courses with wild water. At the moment we have 25 degress what is much more than in Germany the last month. Last Saturday we had a free day, we used that time to visit Durban, a City at the eastcoast, most time in Durban we were shopping and at the beach. You will get some impressions about south afrika if you look at the pics. We will travel home on Saturday evening, back to Germany and have some training in Augsburg and Leipzig to prepare for our selections in the end of April
