X-mas Training
As every year, I went to my family for Christmas. On program , training on Cher river and spending the good time with my parents.
This year the levels of water weren’t at the top, so I train with my stand up. We let you enjoy the pictures.

The last week, I have testing the River Sup
On Saturday we lowered the gave of Pau with my girlfriend Clarisse, the next day we were on the Pau Pyrenees white water stadium .
Here are the nice pics of these two days where we discovered a new great playful practice. Next step with the river suping for the next spring when the Pyréenes rivers and their falls will be in waters.

Tabaze Rodeo
As every year, Free Kayak Tour (french freestyle championship) begins with the regional stage. Jo Suc and Nico Fayol have gone in Tabaze Rodeo Vinon sur Verdon, now unavoidable step. The atmosphere was good to date. The former leaders of the French freestyle as Nico Chassing and Xavier Lacroix, like to meet there. This mix of generations on the water gives rise to trade rather sympatic, Trickster or other Switch alongside the latest composite boat in a hole for running the entire directory, old school and new school.
A special contest was held for the older, for boats of more than two meters, contest won handily by Xavier Lacroix, European Champion 2002! Qualifying on Saturday offered a lot of show, with, among others, some latest moves as butterfly or back mac nasty. For Jo and Nico, that’s good, they complete the qualifications for first and second place. The evening will certainly be remembered, thanks to a nice show of a former team member from France.

The following day, up to the final. Painful awakening, the stomach at the bottom of the socks, the hair that grows inside the head … but for everyone the same, everyone was very present at the party! The first splash are good, but the faces remain tense in the idea of three runs and give the best of itself. Nico and Jo are struggling to make their moves, they can’t remain in the roll … Olivier Bret, certainly the new recruit of C1 GUYS, dominated the final in the first two runs with more than 100 points ahead . The third run is coming. In an excess of lucidity, Jo and Nico managed to get a nice run last minute and grab the first two steps of the podium. It should be noted the performance of Xavier Lacroix, who finished fourth, the former is still in it !

The next contest will be the Flip Flap Party in May. Meanwhile several destinations are scheduled: the Noguera Pallaresa in Spain, the Cevennes, a few sessions in the ocean … The stories to follow.

Millau Copa espagna de stylo libré, hollé!!!!
The last weekend of March was held the first race of the Spanish championship of Kayak Freestyle in Millau. It was an opportunity for Jo and me to test their level internationally. Spain is among the European elite of the discipline.
At this game, Jo has done spoke of him by finishing second, just before the vice-European champion. I am little back, finish fifth.
We were there at first to see the level of our Hispanic neighbors, but also and mainly for fun and pleasure. With Gael Kernin and Ludo Escurier we did make a nice getaway night on Friday…
We will hold for this race the summer temperatures, good humor but especially the large level of Spanish paddlers.

Pau Freestyle Show, French Team Trial!
Last weekend was held the Pau Freestyle Show, first race of Free Kayak Tour (French Championship) and first race of selections of the national Team for Worlds 2011.
Jo and me were there, not only to participate. Jo took the silver medal while I wasn’t far behind : third. What is a good omen for the rest of the championship but also for selection in the national team. There are only two places, but we will do everything to go both to the worlds. Boarder cross was also organized: I won, Jo being failed because of shoulder pain. Overall, I’m second, Jo finished fourth.

SESSION ON THE CHER RIVER
As promised here is a back from our trip on waves of Cher River.
The years go by, but not alike. Not enough water this year, so we knocked on the Whitewater Stadium of Tournon Saint Martin. The stadium is modular, we could ride several waves and holes for 5 days.

Summer and autumn report 2010
Last of June/ Natural games
Once again twas a pretty fun event with concerts, extrem sport shows and a crazy athmosphere.
I did third place with a 670 points run; and got in the boater cross’s semi-final.

Tournon first french cup round
Last 20th and 21st of March has taken place the FKT first round (France championship): 150 competitors gathered at Tournon Saint Martin white water stadium. The weather was good, very sunny and the water was perfect with retentive and powerfull hall very pleasant to ride. This first competition was the occasion for many mates to meet again after a long winter riding separately.
Friday night: After a few beers and many long chats, everybody went to bed to be ready and fit for the Saturday.
Saturday: Qualification in the afternoon and semi-final in the evening… by night! Everything would have been ok if I hadn’t finished 6th and missed the final so closely.
Sunday: Racing with an open canoe, I’ve managed to turn the table on as I’ve finished 2nd in the final. As an information regarding the mates of the club: Rodolphe has finished 4th in C1 and Arthur 2nd in K1 but also 1st in C1 junior.
